Social Walk – Whitehaven to St Bees (INTERMEDIATE)

A coastal walk starting in Whitehaven’s historic 17th-century harbour, passing the town’s industrial archaeology to join Wainwright’s Coast to Coast path. Once in St Bees there are regular trains back to Whitehaven (approximately every hour) for a charge of less than £3.
Meeting point – 10:30am, outside the Beacon Museum.

Please note this is considered an intermediate walk. Easy terrain although some uneven and narrow sections with short but steep climbs. Clifftop route, so steep drops. Permissive access routes across farmland allow you to avoid the cliff edge on much of the headland.
